NAEMA er et eksperimenterende verdenskor på 16 sangere. Vi arbejder med al slags musik, der kan laves med stemmen - fra improvisation, afrikanske grooves og ukrainske sange til jazz og pophits. Vi tager alle udfordringer op, der kan udvikle vores stemmer, vores mod og vores musikalitet.

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗡𝗔𝗘𝗠𝗔

NAEMA is an experimental world choir currently consisting of 16 singers, both men and women. The name is inspired by the Arabic word “Na’iman” / نعيماً , which is “a blessing you bestow on someone who’s just showered or had their hair cut styled”. The name refers to a specific improvisation exercise that we often do, so we thought is fitted perfectly! 

We focus on all kinds of music that you can produce with your voice - from improvisation, african grooves and songs from Ukraine to jazz and pop hits ... any style or genre that helps us expand and grow our voices, alongside with our courage and our musicality.
