Papaya brings South African songs to Roskilde Festival College.

In Denmark, the year is marked by freedom. In many places, one will be able to remember and relive the incredible power of the common song in the fight for freedom. South Africa's path to freedom is also to a large extent the story of the power of the common song. In today's South Africa, common songs still push the country's development, and sometimes set minds on fire.

Papaya sings songs from South Africa and talks about the special role of the songs in the country's captivating history of struggle for democracy and freedom. The evening will provide insight into Papaya's current work with the theme of freedom and communal singing leading up to the spring freedom concerts.
