Feel inwards - Sing outwards
Presence | Authenticity | Play
Explore your voice and your musicality!
'Feel inwards - Sing outwards' is a workshop in vocal improvisation and is about letting go of your head and trusting your musicality. It's about playing in a safe environment, supporting each other's ideas and daring to pursue your own! Based on a playful and creative approach, we explore the potential of the voice and it's many sounds!
I have been involved in vocal improvisation for many years, wrote a master's thesis on it and held several workshops and courses for all levels. I will take you through a lot of cool exercises - including circlesongs, vocal painting and authentic relating games!

For the choir that wants to work creatively
You can either use the workshop as a creative space that strengthens your unity in the choir and your ability to listen better to each other, blend and pitch.
If you want to use improvisation in your further practice, we can also delve into how to turn improvisation into an actual qualified composition, an independent piece of music.
We can also connect the improvisational work to your already established songs, which can create more flow in the work process, better understanding of the music or can free the music and create a new approach to the song.

Signe is a great inspiration for further teaching! She is always incredibly well prepared and has a good eye for a - for her - unfamiliar group (large or small) and easily logs into a group's dynamics. Signe's musicality and security in form, genres, tonality, groove and overview are convincing. No one notices that it slowly becomes more complicated, and that the participants themselves are getting better and better. Hereby my warmest recommendations!

Choir director, voice coach and college teacher
I went into it with a slightly negative attitude from the start, where I would rather stand in the background and just watch. But then it turned around, and I wanted to be involved. It was cool to see what you can do with the voice and become aware of what you are actually doing when you improvise. Using the body and voice as an instrument

Participating in workshop
It's kind of funny because a lot of us know each other so well, and some have known each other for years, but it's like we just took a step closer to each other. There are some facades, and some ways of singing that are just gone. It doesn't take much - it's just great!
